Ceramic Coatings

WHAT IS A CERAMIC COATING?

A ceramic coating is the most advanced, longest-lasting form of paint protection on the market.

Paint and metal are porous. Ceramic coatings bond to the surface and seal these pores, preventing any damage such as oxidation, fading, and sun damage.

Unlike a ceramic coating, a wax or sealant “sits” on top of the surface. Additionally, waxes only last up to 30-90 days in the harsh Arizona heat, ceramic coatings can last years!

This sealing of the surface also allows ceramic coatings to provide a high-gloss, water repellant barrier.

Hassle-Free Maintenance

Ceramic Coatings create a water repellant barrier to keep your vehicle cleaner, longer.

This also makes cleaning your vehicle much easier, take less time, and help to prevent water spots. This is especially important with the harsh water here in The Valley.

Increased Resale

It’s no secret that a well-maintained vehicle holds value better.

For most people, your vehicle is the number-one or second most valuable asset you own. It makes sense to take care of it and nothing keeps it looking better than a ceramic coating.

THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN PURCHASING A CERAMIC COATING

Making an Informed Decision When Asking, “How Much Do Ceramic Coatings Cost?”

1. Warranty or “Guarantee”?

The largest gimmick in the industry: guarantees. Most coating companies sell “guarantees” that hold little to no weight. What does that mean for the end customer when the coating fails prematurely? Go with a coating that offers an actual warranty.

“If you want me to take a dump in a box and mark it ‘guaranteed’, I will. I’ve got spare time. Instead, you might want to think about buying a quality product from me.”

- Tommy Boy

2. Okay, that’s a good price, but what’s included?

Many ceramic coating installers show a great price up front, but those prices can quickly go up.

It’s often to see prices increase if you want anything other than just your vehicle’s paint ceramic coated. Things such as your windshield, plastic trim, and wheels need protection too!

Make sure EVERYTHING is being coated and protected so your entire vehicle looks its best for as long as possible. After all, isn’t that what you’re paying for?

3. Coating Maintenance?

99% of ceramic coatings on the market require their own upkeep to maintain their benefits. Our ceramic coating does not.

If you ask us, a ceramic coating, purchased with the hope of hassle-free cleaning, does not provide much value if it requires its own maintenance.

This maintenance is usually in the form of annually applied “toppers.” These toppers are used to patch where the coating is already failing. These annual toppers are not free!

Don’t you need to polish the paint first?

No, you do not have to polish the paint in preparation for a ceramic coating.

This is actually completely up to you. However, ceramic coatings will act as a time capsule for imperfections, so whatever is being sealed by the coating is there to stay!

The main benefit to polishing will be enhanced gloss/shine and removal of all the small eyesores lingering on your vehicle.

ALL 5-STAR REVIEWS FOR A REASON!

  • "Austin did an amazing job on my 2017 Challenger. It actually looks better now than the day I drove it off the dealer lot when it was brand new. He worked diligently on the fine scratches in the clear coat and paint before applying the ceramic coating, and now it looks truly awesome like a show car. Before he even started with polishing he did a thorough wash and clay bar treatment. Absolutely beautiful!!!!! I can’t say enough."

  • "Purchased my 2022 Ford Maverick 8 weeks ago and started investigating ceramic coatings both professional and DIY. Once I spoke with Austin it was a wrap and I booked him right then. He really schooled me about the products he provides and never tried to talk me into or out of choices I brought. Austin was informative friendly and really put me at ease. He showed up on time with Chris ( I hope I got his name right) and they both got right to it and did an amazing job. You can see by the pics the almost mirror finish my truck now has. And they did every part of my truck down to the wheels. I would highly recommend Clean Freaks to anyone!!"

  • “We had Austin, the proprieter of Clean Freaks USA out to our home yesterday. He applied a ceramic coating to my new 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. It was a full day's undertaking. I found Austin to be quite polite, very knowledgeable and thorough in his work. I was impressed with his attention to detail and his organization of procedures, tools etc. I highly recommend this entrepreneur for his abilities to go the extra mile and provide a great service!"

CERAMIC COATING INSTALLATION PROCESS

  • Hand Wash

Every service begins with a thorough handwash using top of the line products and the safest methods possible.

  • Decontamination

Decontaminating the surface, chemically and mechanically, removes anything embedded in the surface including road tar, iron, tree sap, mineral deposits, and more. This step “resets” the paint.

  • Paint Correction

Paint Correction removes defects in the paint. These defects include scratches, swirls, marring, and oxidation/fading. After this step, the vehicle is a blank canvas, ready to be coated.

  • Coating Application

Coating application consists of a “base” coat and a “hardener” coat. These two coats combine to provide, by far, the most advanced ceramic coating on the market. I truly cannot understate how much other coatings fail to compare to our flagship coating.

 FAQs

  • Sadly, some “ceramic coatings” certainly are exactly that. It’s important to educate yourself before purchasing a coating. Good questions to ask include: “What warranty is offered with this coating?”, “Does this coating require periodic maintenance, and if so, how much does that cost?”, and “Does it cost extra to coat my windshield, wheels, plastic trim, etc..?”.

Or you can just buy a quality product from us and know you’re getting the real deal!

  • It really depends on the quality of coating. The highest quality ceramic coatings, *ahem*, only require periodic car washes and decontaminating as necessary. Low quality ceramic coatings will require “boosters” or “toppers” to be applied annualy or semi-annually. In our opinion, a ceramic coating with a “lifetime warranty” that requires a topper once a year, is really just a ceramic coating with a 1 year warranty.

If you’re purchasing a ceramic coating with the intent of saving money and time washing it, it doesn’t make sense to buy a coating that requires more maintenance. Our ceramic coatings require the least maintenance possible!

  • Wax and sealants sit on top of painted surfaces, ceramic coatings bond to, and seal the surface. It’s this “sealing” that creates a water repellant, slick barrier. Paint and metal are porous. Ceramic coatings seal these pores and prevent oxidation, fading, and sun damage. In fact, in harsh climates, waxes can actually speed up oxidation and sun damage.

Another main difference is that ceamic coatings can last for years, while wax at best lasts 90 days in the harsh Arizona heat.
